Patti Friday is a Canadian contemporary multi-disciplinary Artist working in paint, photography, textile and installation. Her work explores themes of sensuality, nature and the cultural mosaic of Canada. Friday currently works in the Art Dept. inside the international Embassy of Ideas

"I interpret my emotions and feelings spontaneously with colour fields, symbolic gestures, expressive layering and a personal visual language. Small surprises of rebellious scribbles, hidden messages or snippets of my poetry and photography may (sometimes) be found in and around the paint. I love the silent conversation that takes place between 'Artist and Viewer'. Through imagery and a whispered narrative we share a dialogue that opens up to ongoing, various interpretations.
